Therapeutic Approach: My theoretical orientation is based upon Systemic, Gestalt, Person-Centered, Affirmative CBT, Brief Solution Focused, Experiential models. I believe in an integrated approach utilizing the client’s experiences to co-construct treatment goals designed to empower the individual with symptom resolution and encourage episodes of care as needed. I have extensive training in various evidence-based practices and outcome-based care. I value the integration of behavioral and physical health care to accomplish holistic solutions to overall well-being.
Professional Interests: I have specific areas of interest in working with individuals that have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and problem sexual behaviors. I strive to incorporate cultural diversity and expression into my clinical work to empower one’s evolving sense of self as one progresses through life’s transitional stages. I place a strong value on clinical supervision and put forth great effort in supporting clinicians and interns in their expansion of clinical skills. I find excitement in the reciprocal learning process of supervision and support that all members of a multidisciplinary allied health team bring enlightenment and strengthen our ability to meet the evolving needs of the community we serve.
