Professional Interests:
My clinical interests include working with adolescent and emerging adult populations with trauma, depression, anxiety, mood, and other stress related problems. I am also highly interested in working with students of color, specifically students within the Latinx community. My other professional interests include multicultural and social justice issues, mind-body connection, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, dancing, pickleball, sudoku, and watching new shows.
Therapeutic Approach:
My clinical orientation integrates several approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral, interpersonal, and person-centered work. My goal is to build therapeutic relationships in which clients feel supported throughout their healing journey. My intention is to encourage client empowerment and autonomy so as to foster a collaborative process. I also incorporate a multicultural and trauma-informed lens to better understand how the client’s unique identities and contexts impact their experiences.
