Donna Gordon

LCSW

Mental Health Clinician (per diem)

Education:
B.A. – Hood College for Women
M.S.W.- Yeshiva University- Wurzweiler School of Social Work

Therapeutic Approach:
I believe it most important to establish trust and to create a safe environment for exploration. I am eclectic in my approach.  I am client centered, strength based, and solution focused.  Since education helps to empower and give control to individuals, I use psycho-education as a necessary modality.  Language either verbal or written also helps one to feel grounded and  so psychodynamic therapy as well as narrative therapy are modalities which I use when working with students.

Interests:
Clinical interests include but are not limited to; working with adulting students, helping them to achieve independence, working with students experiencing depression, anxiety, and helping students to cope with grief/loss.  My personal interests include:  spending time with my family and friends, cooking and entertaining and taking really long walks with my dog.
