Moise Francillon
BA
Social Work Intern
Education:
B.A. Anthropology, University of Connecticut
Professional Interests:
My interests are in mental health awareness and emotional support, depression, financial management, job/life skills coaching,
athletic experience, and trauma. In my free time I enjoy playing and watching sports.
Therapeutic Approach:
I use a holistic therapeutic approach that is person-centered and provides support for all backgrounds and beliefs without judgement. I draw from the theory of person-in-environment which recognizes that we are a product of the things that we have and do experience on a daily basis. I also draw from the concept of the ‘middle bubble’ which focuses on debunking currently understood thoughts, feelings, and emotions that someone is experiencing. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between clinician and client is a fundamental attribute of progress. The character traits of trust and humility are those that
I would like to embody in formulating these relationships. All individuals have a right to be heard and feel supported regardless of what has happened to them in life.
