I am originally from southern Connecticut and grew up playing sports my whole life. I continued playing sports in college, participating in field hockey and middle-distance events for track and field team. I became interested in the field of medicine and in particular sports medicine after tearing my ACL during my junior year of college. I realized from this injury that this was the population of people that I most connected with and wanted to work with going forward.

I was particularly looking for a program that offered Division 1 athletics experience, and this program offers that and much more including diverse coverage with USL soccer, local high school football teams, and mass coverage distance events including the Lake Placid Ironman. Another highlight that drew me to this program on top of the extensive event coverage is the experience with ultrasound guided injections. I am excited to be back home working with UConn and to be part of the Husky family.
